T-Pain is certainly one of the most established rappers in the Hip-Hop world right now, being very influential in the industry as well. However, he isn’t without his flaws. He also isn’t a fan of the new generation of rappers.
T-Pain is also a very bizarre individual who is known for his love of pop culture and also memes. He famously has a tattoo of a 2012 Jackie Chan meme on his right hand as well.
While speaking to TMZ, T-Pain stated that he isn’t all for celebrating Black History Month. Instead, Black people should always be recognized in history and he used the HBCU bomb threats to prove his point.
The rapper shared his thoughts about the bomb threats this week at more than a dozen Historically Black Colleges and Universities. He added that this kind of harassment is very normal and that Black students have been blocked from getting educations, in various ways, for hundreds of years.
T-Pain added that the only way this can stop is if “we [Black people] make our own s**t”, adding that simply because it’s an HBCU, that does not mean Black people own it. The rapper added that he doesn’t think people should just have one month of Black History. Instead, he said, “we want to be a part of history, not just one month of it.” It is likely some fans will agree with what he said as well.
