It is certainly heartwarming to see our favorite celebrities make an effort to be more and more inclusive. What would have seemed like a dream only a couple of years ago is quickly becoming a reality.
Rappers Eminem and Snoop Dogg, who are set to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, will be accompanied by an ASL interpreter from Detroit.
In recent years, ASL interpreters have become more and more common at high profile shows, which is a great step towards making the richness of lyricism more accessible to those who cannot hear.
Sean Forbes, who showed Eminem an ASL interpretation of the track “Lose Yourself” back in 2005, has been rehearsing for the upcoming show with Em as well as Snoop Dogg.
While scant details are available, Forbes has comfirmed that he will be interpreting for Eminem and Snoop Dogg, while fellow ASL specialist and rapper Warren (WaWa) Snipe will be interpreting for other artists.
