Jackass Forever must have grossed out a lot of fans. But its box office earnings reflect that it still enjoyed a wide range of audience. The film pulled fans through a nostalgia trip, earning more than the double of its own budget in its opening week.
The comedy flick ended up grossing $23.5 million in its first week. While being aired in about 3,604 theatres, it proved to be a huge return for the team of Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass crew.
Jackass Forever‘s $23.5 million in its opening week stands strongly against its total budget of $10 million. The flick is the second project by Paramount, which ended up in a box office win, coming after Scream, which was released in January.
The Jackass franchise was revived by Paramount Pictures, MTV Entertainment and Dick Productions After a long period of 12 years. While many things that Jackass Forever is the last film in the series, others think that there is more in line.
Jackass Forever pulled in a younger and mostly male crowd. 1/3 of all the tickets were bought by movie watchers who were under the age of 35. While 67% percent of them were between the ages of 18 to 35, a whopping 68% of them were males.
