Columbus Short Arrested On Domestic Charges After Alleging His Wife Punched Him

Columbus Short has made headlines before, but this incident was not something he ever wanted to happen.

Short was arrested at his home in Fernando Valley, California, on Wednesday after the reports of arguments between the Scandal star and his wife. This is not his first arrest regarding this matter. He also was arrested back in 2018 for domestic violence.

Short, a choreographer, allegedly told cops that his wife punched him in the face, TMZ reported. No marks were found on the actor’s face when they checked, reports said.

Cops were called to the Missouri actor’s home around 10:30 pm over a verbal quarrel between him and his wife, which allegedly turned physical. When cops quizzed his wife, they noticed a minor bruise. No details regarding the injury were disclosed.

Short was arrested under felony domestic violence, although he hasn’t been charged, according to the reports.

He was later released after posting $50k bond. He has yet to be formally charged. A source in Short’s camp told TMZ, “It is no secret that Mr. short has dealt with addiction issues in the past and like any addict it’s one day at a time. His family is his number one priority as he focuses on getting back on track with his sobriety.”

Last time, Short was arrested in 2018 for Domestic Violence, he pled no contest, and served 34 days in jail. Funnily enough during that arrested he was already under probation, according to the reports.
