Lamelo Ball has shown an extraordinary talent for the past couple of seasons. The young star has been making quite a name for himself. He has displayed improved shooting and even managed to learn triple-doubles. A very praiseworthy player indeed.
The NBA announced that the Charlotte Hornets guard Lamelo Ball and San Antonio Spurs’ Dejounte Murray will be replacing Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant and Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green, respectively.
Kevin Durant’s injury rendered him unable to participate in the game leading to Jayson Tatum becoming starter, whereas Melo will be on reserve. The All-Star injury replacements will join in 2020.
Initially, the 20-year-old young star was set to play the Rising Stars game, which features other rookies and sophomores but not anymore as NBA welcomed him to the All-Star Game. This comes as a huge relief for fans who felt snubbed out.
Either way, it is a well-deserved privilege for Mello as he has been one of the most steady players in the league.
