James McAvoy Secretly Marries Girlfriend Lisa Liberati

James McAvoy generally stays out of the spotlight while steering clear of any controversy surrounding his life. However, he made a very wild revelation recently which turned all eyes on him.

James sat for an interview with The Guardian in which he revealed he’s now a married man. The “Atomic Blonde” actor said he recently married his girlfriend, Lisa Liberati, who hails from Philadelphia. He said, “Yeah, it’s like a second home for me,” referring to the city.

The Scottish actor met Liberati on the set of his 2016 horror- thriller “Split.” At the time, Liberati was working as the director M. Night Shyamalan’s personal assistant. The couple didn’t begin dating until a couple of years later.

Prior to James’ revelation, it was reported in 2019 that McAvoy had married Liberati, but he never addressed the rumors. James was previously married to actress Anne-Marie Duff, whom he met on the set of the UK version of “Shameless.” They share an 11-year-old son named Brendan.

The former couple announced in a joint statement in 2016 they were divorcing after nine years of marriage. A year after the split, McAvoy shared with E!News that he and Duff, 51, have maintained their vow never to speak about each other in public.
