Joe Burrow led his Cincinnati Bengals to an improbable Super Bowl berth this season. The young quarterback has helped turn the team around after a two-win season just two years ago and only four victories last year. The Bengals are just one win away from doing the impossible.
Rob Gronkowski knows what it takes to win a Super Bowl. Tom Brady’s favorite tight end nearly made it back again this year after helping the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win the big game last year. Brady is now retired, and Gronk has to determine if he wants to come back for another season.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that during an interview on Tuesday, Gronk talked about his feelings on Burrow. Rob likes the way Joe carries himself on and off the field. If he had to pick one QB to play with, it’d be Joe Burrow.
“I kinda like this young buck quarterback. He’s in the Super Bowl now: It’s Joe Burrow, man. I watched him in college. I just love the way he presents himself out on the football field. In the pocket, he’s just so calm and he just slings it out on the field. … I just love his swag, too.
If I had to pick a quarterback, it’d be the young buck Joe Burrow. He’s killing it right now in the game.”
It remains to be seen if Rob Gronkowski wants to come back for another year. Tom Brady was the reason he returned to the NFL in the first place. If Gronk is motivated enough, the Bengals would surely be willing to at least have a conversation.
