DaBaby, the human storm, made news once again on Thursday (February 10) when he got into an altercation with the brother of his ex-girlfriend and baby mother, DaniLeigh, at a bowling alley in California. The North Carolina rapper and members of his entourage are shown viciously abusing the singer’s younger brother, Brandon Curiel (better known as the rapper Brandon Bills), in the middle of the bowling alleys.
DaBaby appeared to start the fight by throwing the first punch, before pounced on the outmanned Curiel and inflicted a severe beating that left him with a bleeding and swollen face. Last November, DaBaby and DaniLeigh had a domestic altercation that was documented on social media. Curiel has previously vowed to knock out DaBaby while defending his sister.
DaBaby broke his quiet on Thursday by returning to Instagram after the video went viral and made him a trending topic on Twitter. The Blame It On Baby bruiser shared a series of images on Instagram, including one in which he strikes a celebration position and waves to the camera while flashing a humorous expression.
DJ Trap, DaBaby’s tour DJ, wrote “UFC Champion” along with multiple sobbing face emojis in one of the most popular comments. “On site mean on site… it’s basically a threat!” Meek Mill added.
However, DaBaby’s victory lap may be short-lived. Police are presently investigating the 30-year-old rapper for assault with a deadly weapon, according to The FADER. An AD battery (assault with a dangerous weapon) call was received at Corbin Bowl in Tarzana, California, about 1:20 a.m. on Thursday morning.
The deadly weapon allegation has yet to be confirmed by police, but TMZ speculates that it was added since Brandon Curiel was kicked in the head while on the ground. DaBaby and his posse have also been barred from ever returning to the bowling alley, according to TMZ. After the brawl, Corbin Bowl employees spent hours cleaning up and re-oiling the bowling lanes.
Before stepping into the bowling alley, DaBaby’s energy was pumped up. Prior to the bout, the North Carolina native surprised Power 106’s L.A. Leakers with a fierce freestyle over Gunna’s DS4Ever tracks “Pushin P” and “Too Easy.” Check out the tweet and Instagram post below.
