Tom Brady is arguably one of the greatest football players in the history of the sport. Brady’s time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was always a huge topic of discussion as the quarterback would play at a remarkable rate despite being 44 years old right now
Back in September last year, Tom Brady even went so far as to say that he can play until he is 50 years of age, which certainly made fans wonder whether he can maintain that level of condition for 6 more years.
After a lot of back and forth and ruminating, Tom Brady finally came to a decision of announcing his retirement from professional football. While speaking to TMZ, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy stated that he wants Tom Brady to sign a 1-day contract and retire as part of the New England Patriots, the team that made his career.
“I think he’s going to sign probably a 1-day contract with the Pats and retire as a Patriot. That’s where his heart is. He has no love for Tampa Bay. And he wants to retire where it all began, and where he built his legacy. And it’s definitely not Tampa.”
Tom Brady will continue to be involved in sports after retiring as well. We wonder if he will decide to come back just so that he can retire as part of the Patriots or not.
