Katy Perry scored a style touchdown at the 2022 NFL Honors on Thursday night. The 37-year-old “Firework” singer not only cosplayed a football in her second-skin brown Alex Perry gown and gloves ($2,200), but she also carried a matching crystal-encrusted Judith Leiber Couture clutch ($3,995) shaped like one.
According to Page Six, Jennifer Lopez carried the same blinged-out bag ahead of her Super Bowl 2020 halftime performance, though hers was a custom creation emblazoned with “02.02.2020,” the big game’s date.
Perry, who is known for her outrageous outfits, accessorised with Messika jewels, which included an oversized pair of diamond-studded hoops and a massive two-stone ring.
Judith Leiber’s signature sparkling minaudières have long been a favourite of pop superstars such as Beyoncé and J.Lo, both of whom have carried the brand’s cheeky “Stack of Cash” clutch, which retails for $5,695, as well as actresses such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Lupita Nyong’o.
The Kardashian-Jenners adore the bedazzled bags, particularly Kim, who owns several and has given them to her sisters on numerous occasions.
