James Harden is headed to the 76ers as Ben Simmons is now free. Two prime players, James Harden and Paul Millsap, went to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday. This was done in exchange for Ben Simmons, Andre Drummond, and Seth Curry. It is undoubtedly a ground-shaking deal for Eastern Conference.
Kevin Durant appeared on TNT last night for the NBA All-Star draft. Kevin was asked what he thinks about the trade, to which he replied by saying, “I’m excited for our team. Looking forward to finishing the season out with this new group and these new players. Playoffs are right around the corner so we got to fast-track it to get used to each other, but I’m excited. I think everybody got what they wanted.”
Harden reportedly wanted his way out of Brooklyn, and Simmons certainly did not want to win for a city that’s not Philadelphia. Kevin reiterated this on his TNT appearance. This deal might be a step forward for Kevin’s ultimate goal of winning the championship for Brooklyn however, it’s too early to tell.
Later on the evening on Thursday, an incredibly funny exchange happened between Charles Barkley and LeBron James, in which Barkley said now that Harden is out of Brooklyn, he is finally healthy. You can see the hilarious clip below. A remarkable moment that broke the tensions as Kevin appeared kind of annoyed by the situation.
