Eminem is now a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee, dominating the voting chart by a huge margin. His behavior certainly can be unpredictable sometimes. As Dr. Dre had to promise that he’d keep Eminem in check from doing something like pulling his wiener or anything like that during the Sunday Night during the Super Bowl halftime show.
Eminem had reportedly asked the NFL if he could kneel during his performance which NFL had denied. As we know, Eminem is a Colin Kaepernick fan, and he is known to kneel during the National Anthem which created waves of controversies.
The movement that Kaepernick initiated was to call attention towards racial injustice and police brutality. However, his gesture wasn’t very well received by all.
Eminem has praised Kaepernick’s efforts in interviews before, so it should come as no surprise that he’d be one of very few people that defends him and going to the lengths of doing the same kneeling gesture at the big game night today.
Marshall Mathers defied the NFL and kneeled in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick during the Super Bowl halftime show. The move by Eminem came after he performed “Lose Yourself” in front of the crowd. We bet there won’t be any ramifications on Slim Shady, but the NFL can certainly try.
