Van Jefferson’s wife Samaria left Super Bowl LVI a little early. As her husband and the Rams were pulling off a fourth quarter comeback win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Samaria was attending to more pressing matters. She went into labor in the middle of the game.

Matthew Stafford led an exciting fourth-quarter drive to spark the Super Bowl victory. Cooper Kupp earned the game’s MVP honors by taking control on that fateful final scoring drive. The Rams defense held up, led by Aaron Donald’s crushing pass rush. Van Jefferson contributed solidly with four catches for 23 yards.

The Super Bowl win wasn’t the sweetest part of the night for Van Jefferson. The couple was hoping that Samaria’s water didn’t break during the big game. Fortunately, she was able to be rushed to a local hospital where she gave birth to a brand new baby.

Van posted a pic with the newborn after taking a moment to celebrate with his teammates. Jefferson was able to pull off two huge wins in one night. It’s an evening the entire family will remember forever.

Jefferson was caught sprinting out of SoFi Stadium after the game. The wideout was rushing to get there in time for the birth. It looks like he was able to get there just in time to soak in the special night with his family.

Van Jefferson is now a two-time dad and a Super Bowl champion. Super Bowl LVI had a Hollywood theme. They couldn’t have scripted a better ending to this movie.
