Simon Leviev may be banned from dating apps for life. But the notorious con artist will forever remain the talk of the town – thanks to social media. After all, what goes on the internet, stays on the internet.
UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya is the latest celebrity to jump on the swindler parody bandwagon. The 32-year-old took to Twitter to share a hilarious video of himself impersonating the con artist.
“I know it’s Valentines but I couldn’t take you out because I had to get out of the country ASAP. My enemies are after me… they’re trying to kill me (takes off his glasses). Look what they did to me, look.
“Baby I’m telling you seriously. I just… if you can please. If you can just send me 50,000 nairas, I mean dollars, $50,000. Baby, there’s a dog. It’s a very expensive dog. Send me $50,000. Get a loan… please I beg you. I love you”
The Netflix documentary showed how Leviev used to con women by tricking them into believing that he lived a lavish lifestyle. He’d also convince them to give him “loan”, only to get away with all the money.
