Kelly Clarkson is going through the pandemic like everyone else, only she is in the public eye. The American Idol alum expressed her annoyance with quarantine during a digital appearance on her talk show.
On Tuesday, the Since U Been Gone hitmaker called into her show as she isolated at home with her daughter River Rose, seven, and son Remington Alexander, five. Kelly said to guest host Taraji P. Henson jokingly, “Sometimes women don’t rise. Sometimes we fall.”
The 39-year-old American Idol winner was seen wearing a green kimono with a yellow satin sleep mask on her head and was makeup-free.
Clarkson said, “I thought we were done with quarantining, and I’m so tired.” “I broke a nail,” she added, holding up her hand. She continued, “All my makeup’s expired. America, this is what I look like. You’re welcome.”
Though Kelly did not explain why she and her children were isolated but gave a hint that they had COVID-19. She said that she was missing her crew even though she was not sick. ‘Anyway, we’re keeping it safe and that’s it,’ Kelly concluded, raising her blue coffee mug.
