Timothée Chalamet’s performance in “Call Me by Your Name” earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. At 22 years old, he was the third-youngest nominee in the category. Timothée was recently spotted filming in Oxford as Willy Wonka.
Timothée Chalamet is certainly showing off his sweet tooth while filming for the upcoming film across the pond as Willy Wonka. The actor was spotted at Oxford University on Tuesday in full “Wonka” costume and filming scenes for the film; it’s not the first time he’s been spotted in the costume, but it’s a good close-up look.
According to TMZ, actress Calah Lane was also spotted filming scenes. Lane, best known for her roles in “This Is Us” and Netflix’s “Family Reunion,” has a background in musicals, beginning on stage at the age of four, and it’s safe to say she’s cut out for “Wonka!”
The buzz surrounding this prequel began in October when Chalamet posted first looks in his costume, which has since gone viral. Other than Chalamet’s role and a few set photos, there’s a lot of mystery surrounding the production; not much has been said, and there hasn’t been an official trailer release, either.
Of course, the role has previously been played by Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp, so it’s Chalamet who has the golden ticket this time. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
