Wendy Williams has been through a lot recently. Wendy retaliated after her bank advised her to seek guardianship. Williams posted an Instagram video on Wednesday, but her followers believe it is old.
According to Page Six, the internet sleuths are at it again. Wendy Williams launched a brand-new Instagram account on Wednesday with a video update on her whereabouts and well-being, but some of her fans aren’t buying what she’s selling.
“This video is a year old,” speculated one follower in the comments section. “I believe this is an old video,” wrote another. Fans with keen ears noticed that Williams mentioned her mother being in Florida, where the video was shot, and also referred to herself as being 56 years old. Williams, who is now 57, announced her mother’s death in December 2020.
“This have to be old because she said its good to have family like her mom dad and others… But I thought her mother had passed.”
“This video is old. She keeps referencing that she is 56 years old but she’s actually 57.”
Despite the outlandish remarks, Williams’ publicist told Page Six that the talk show host simply misspoke about her age and meant that her mother is buried in Florida. The representative also insisted that the video was shot on Wednesday morning.
According to a source, the weather was cloudy and windy Wednesday morning, so it could be new. Williams takes a stroll on the beach with her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., as he interviews her about her health in the more than five-minute-long video.
“Excuse me, I am going back stronger. At 56 years old, there are things that happen to people.”
“I would say things usually start about 40 and they go up from there, you know, so you’ve got to eat the right food.”
Due to ongoing health issues, the former shock jock has not hosted “The Wendy Williams Show” since last summer. Sherri Shepherd will take over as “permanent guest host” in September. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
