Erika Jayne has seen her legal situation go from bad to worse. Erika’s husband Tom Girardi is involved in major heat for an alleged embezzlement scheme. Jayne has been able to keep herself out of the way of legal responsibility so far. Her luck may have run out.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member and her EJ Global LLC. company have been hit with a $2.1 million lawsuit. The legal action was taken by attorney Manuel H. Miller and client Kathleen Bajgrowicz.
Page Six reported that the suit was filed Thursday and claims Erika Jayne knew about the scheme all along. Bajgrowicz further states that Erika funded her lavish lifestyle on the proceeds of the crime. Tom Girardi was representing Bajgrowicz in a lawsuit against the National Football League over the death of her son, Chuck.
Girardi was able to win a settlement with the league. Instead of distributing the funds to the winners of the suit, he used confusing and often false legalese to make excuses for why the funds could not be handed out. The plaintiffs say the money was already spent.
“Unknown to Plaintiffs, Girardi had already taken their money and breached his and the firm’s fiduciary duty to distribute the funds to Plaintiffs.”
If they can prove Erika Jayne was in the know, the reality star will be on the hook for some serious cash. Any findings, in this case, could also expose Erika to criminal liability. It’s a nightmare situation for the RHOBH star.
