Kelly Clarkson Files Legal Paperwork To Change Her Last Name

Kelly Clarkson is looking for a complete life reboot. The American Idol star and daytime talk host recently had an ugly divorce from Brandon Blackstock. Kelly is looking to make some major changes and take control of her life again.

Clarkson is one of the most visible celebrities out there. Kelly has had a very successful career as a pop singer. There are also several tv projects featuring or starring the “Since U Been Gone” singer.

Kelly is now taking a dramatic step towards becoming who she feels she is. Paperwork has been filed to change her name to “Kelly Brianne.” Kelly says the new name is more fitting of who she is now, according to TMZ.

Kelly is the host of the Emmy-winning talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” There is no word on if she plans to rebrand the show. We will have to see how serious she is about the change.

Kelly was married to Brandon Blackstock for seven years. The singer filed for divorce in 2020. At that time, her legal last name was changed to Blackstock although she continued to use the Clarkson moniker professionally.

It could be that Kelly will still be known publicly as Kelly Clarkson. The reasons for such a big change are going to be very personal. Time will tell if she decides to go all-in on the name change.
