Yeat is one of the most popular young rappers in the country right now, with his rage-inducing music hailing from Portland. The 20-year-old is hot off the release of his new album, 2 Alivë,, and he chose to commemorate his meteoric rise in the rap business with a listening party at The Roxy, a legendary Los Angeles concert venue.
Things didn’t go as planned, however, as recordings show the Los Angeles Police Department cracking down on the event and closing it down after dozens of fans allegedly tried to rush into the performance venue without tickets.
The police quickly called off the listening session this weekend, not wanting to take any chances with security. Yeat has finally spoken out on Instagram, promising a second chance for his devoted supporters.
Yall insane. [Shut] da sh-t down NEWS pulled up we #TRËNDY we gone do a part 2 dont worry.
Fans and officers alike rushed the venue in an attempt to get control of the situation, according to videos posted on Yeat’s account. Clearly, despite the fact that he was forced to conclude his event sooner than planned, Yeat is pleased with the media attention he has received. Watch the videos below
