Snoop Dogg officially acquired Death Row earlier this month, purchasing it from the Blackstone-controlled company MNRK Music Group. The recent acquisition of Death Row Records by him is becoming famous. However, there seems a possibility of a Death Row and Bad Boy Records collaboration in the future.

The 50-year-old released a short film to accompany his latest album, Bacc On Death Row, over the weekend, which includes a congratulatory FaceTime call from Sean Combs, who heaped praise on his long-time pal. “Congratulations, king,” Diddy said, “great move, great move,” to which the singer replied, “You taught me how to play chess, not checkers.”

Combs told Snoop that he can’t wait to hear what he has planned for Death Row Records after referring to him as one of his “greatest students.” The Doggfather thanked Diddy for his unwavering support, then shifted the conversation to the prospect of future cooperation between DR and Bad Boy Records.

Diddy and Snoop collaborating on a song would be a landmark moment in hip-hop history. For years, the feud between west and east coast labels pitched many musicians against one another, culminating in the deaths of 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G.

The Death Row’s head has stated that the label has huge intentions to enter the NFT area. “Death Row will be an NFT label,” he said during a Clubhouse talk last week. “We will be putting out artists through the metaverse. Just like we broke the industry when we was the first independent to be major, I want to be the first major in the metaverse,” the Doggfather stated.
