America’s Got Talent: Extreme recently premiered, and as the name suggests, it was extreme. On the opening episode of the show, there was one performance at the end, which won everyone’s hearts, including Nikki Bella. Bella, who is a judge on the show, ended up hitting the golden buzzer for the performer.
Aaron Wheelz was a contestant on the show just like everyone else, but his performance was incredibly mind-blowing. Aaron, who uses a wheelchair was born with Spina Bifida. He tried to impress the judges by launching himself into the air from a 45ft ramp.
Aaron’s first attempt failed terribly with him crash landing. However, his second successful attempt earned him a Golden Buzzer from WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella. Contestants from around the world are trying to showcase daring acts in the show with hopes of winning the grand prize of $500,000.
Simon Cowell, who was another judge on the show, insisted Aaron not to attempt the stunt second time. Cowell’s insistence makes sense as he has experience with injuries himself.
Nikki Bella, Simon Cowell, and motocross star Travis Pastrana, are among the judges on the show, with Terry Crews being a host. When Nikki asked Aaron why he is putting himself through this given his condition, he revealed that Travis inspired him.
