DeMarcus Cousins has moved around a lot in the NBA in recent years. This has been an unlucky set of circumstances for the player, especially given how encouraging his career with the Kings began. Sadly, injuries got the best of him, and he hasn’t been able to play a consistent role on a team. However, the Nuggets needed to make a decision about Cousins’ future, and they did so.

After being released by the Milwaukee Bucks earlier in the season, Cousins was provided a massive opportunity with the Denver Nuggets, who signed the star to a 10-day contract. Cousins has averaged 6.1 points per game while with the team, and he has also grabbed 6.3 rebounds.

Cousins’ future had to be decided today, and that’s exactly what the Nuggets accomplished. The Nuggets will sign Cousins for the rest of the season, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. This is fantastic news for the star, as he will now be able to call Denver his home for the remainder of the regular season, as well as the playoffs.

Sources: The Denver Nuggets are planning to sign center DeMarcus Cousins to a rest-of-season contract in the coming days. Cousins’ final 10-day expired over the weekend. He’s averaged 6.1 points and 6.3 rebounds with Denver, where he’s reunited with Michael Malone.

The Nuggets could use all the help they can get. Cousins will provide them with some much-needed depth as they try to make a run in the Western Conference playoffs.
