Cheryl Burke has been a fixture on Dancing With the Stars since 2007. The dancer and host has given a lot of time and effort into making the show a huge hit. It’s been one of the most popular reality competition series for years.
Burke has been married to “Boy Meets World” actor Matthew Lawrence since 2019. The two met in 2006 when Matthew’s brother Joey Lawrence competed on DWTS. The two quickly formed a close bond.
Cheryl has now decided to end that marriage. Court documents obtained by TMZ listed a separation date of January 7. The couple does have a prenuptial agreement.
Burke filed for divorce after the three-year marriage. Cheryl cited irreconcilable differences in the court document. The couple has had a rocky history together.
In 2008, the couple broke up. They reunited in 2017. An engagement followed in 2018 when Matthew proposed on Cheryl’s birthday.
It looks like there is no saving the marriage now. Cheryl Burke is ready to move on. The prenup should make things a little easier. Hopefully, Cheryl and Matthew Lawrence can find happiness as they move on to the next phase of their lives.
