Lindsay Lohan debuted her first TikTok video earlier this month, in which she demonstrated how to pronounce her name correctly. The 35-year-old actress joined TikTok with a little video announcing her presence on the rapidly rising social media network.
Many people were surprised to learn that she pronounced her name differently than others have over the years. Outside, wearing a white turtleneck and diamond earrings, the Mean Girls star made a cheerful announcement in the short video. ‘Hey everyone. It’s Lindsay Lohan, and guess what? Now I’m on TikTok,’ she said in the five-second video.
One user said: “Have I been pronouncing your name wrong my entire life? I thought it was LoHAAAN.”
Another stated: “Wait. Lindsey ‘LOWEN’?!? I’VE BEEN SAYING IT WRONG MY WHOLE LIFE?!?”
A third one even apologized, writing, “im sorry i’ve said your name wrong my entire life.”
Fans were astonished in the video when she said her last name was pronounced ‘LOW-en,’ rather than ‘Low-HAN,’ as many assumed. Over the last two weeks, the video has received nearly 2 million views, and she has also utilized her TikTok platform to promote her Planet Fitness Super Bowl commercial.
Lohan has had a lot on her plate this year, with both personal and professional endeavors. In November, the actress announced her engagement to her fiancé, Bader Shammas, and announced that she will star in a Netflix holiday rom-com later this year.
