Eminem’s contributions to the world of Hip-Hop cannot be understated in any way. Artists such as Skylar Grey still get starstruck working with him even now. It seems a scammer who has been impersonating Eminem has been exposed.
Eminem’s albums continue to break records even now. On top of that, he is a savvy businessman, which is why he has dealt with several projects over the years. He also broke records on Deezer as well.
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but that also has its limits. This is especially the case when scammers impersonate celebrities and try to dupe people out of their money and more.
According to the investigation conducted by Help Me Hank, a criminal impersonating Eminem on social media has been going after personal information and even eBay gift cards.
The first case that brought the criminal to the attention of the local media was when the impersonator tried to extract personal details from Frederick Mclelland. He lured the man with the false promise to cover medical expenses for his injured son and wasted no time in asking for his personal information.
Another case was reported from Washington, where an Eminem impersonator approached a woman. The impersonator had a fake Marshall Mathers profile. The impersonator complimented her and then tried to ask her for a gift card.
This likely made the woman suspicious as she realized the man she was talking to was not actually Eminem. Eminem’s legal team is aware of the situation and is willing to cooperate with the investigation. We certainly hope the criminal will be brought to justice as identity theft is something to be taken seriously.
