Hip Hop and R&B musicians are ordinary people with families, just like a lot of us and many of them have humorous experiences to tell. For instance, 50 Cents recently reacting to something really hilarious about R&B legend Usher.
50 Cent took to Instagram on Thursday to appreciate R&B icon Usher for playing the 2003 smash hit “In Da Club” when his son Sire Raymond was born. 50 Cent captioned, “We have 2 Kings now, SIRE Jackson and SIRE Raymond. coolest shit ever ! @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi @bottlerover,” referencing his son’s name being the same as Usher’s.
Usher told Ellen Degeneres about the story earlier this week on her talk show, adding that he was in command of the music that would be played in the hospital room. Usher claimed that he messed up the music selection when his daughter was born and that he wasn’t going to do it again this time.
“The first time, I was in charge of music but I did a terrible job. But the second time, I came fully equipped. I had my Mophie. I had speakers. I had backup batteries. I had a whole playlist that I had worked on for about two weeks. It was crazy. It was great.”
The Power Universe creator took time to poke fun at NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan and Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige while welcoming the new addition to Usher’s family. However, at the 2022 NBA All-Star Game, MJ and Mary posed for a few selfies and embraced, and fans went crazy when MJ lightly patted Blige’s backside with the palm of his hand. The noise drew 50’s attention, and he took advantage of the situation. Fif captioned a now-deleted Instagram image that showed Jordan’s hand resting comfortably on Mary J. Blige’s bottom, “All-Star weekend. MJ & MJB, he palmed the ball, LOL,”
