Bow Wow is set to drop one more album and then, apparently, give up music. Recently Bow Wow revealed that Snoop Dogg’s Death Row is where he wants to release his final album.
Bow Wow is going back to the beginning, after all Lil Bow Wow was discovered by Snoop Dogg. The rapper confirmed that he will reconnect with Snoop Dogg for his farewell album, which will be released on Death Row Records, which was recently acquired by the hip-hop legend.
Shad Moss was asked during a Twitter Q&A when he plans to reunite with Snoop Dogg, who discovered him when he was just 6 years old.
“Spoke to snoop last week. Very soon. My plan is to put my final album on death row and close my music career out where it began. I’m tryna do the d wade and come home and close it out.”
After seeing Bow Wow perform at a concert in 1993, Snoop gave him his initial stage name, Lil’ Bow Wow. He later appeared on Snoop Dogg’s debut album Doggystyle before signing with Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def label. Snoop Dogg was also featured on his single “Bow Wow (That’s My Name)” from 2000.
Snoop said earlier this month that he had purchased Death Row from Blackstone’s MNRK Music Group and planned to turn it into the first major record company to operate as an “NFT label.”
“I’ma do one more album. It’s gonna be the last one and it’s gonna be called Before 30, and I’ma have Snoop narrate the whole thing. Ebro in the Morning.”
Bow Wow hasn’t put out a new studio album in more than a decade. He announced in early 2021 that he wants to release one more album before calling it quits. For further updates stay tuned to Thirsty.
