NBA YoungBoy and DaBaby have dropped a handful of tracks together over the last few weeks. Their next step is to taking their collabs to the next level. Their new album is set to release early next month.
They teamed up for a joint project titled Better Than You is on the way according to HipHop-N-More. It will be released via Interscope/Atlantic Records. The duo dropped another single, Neighborhood Superstar, to heat up the streets prior to the album’s release today on February 25th. They previously joined forces for Bestie/Hit, Jump and Thug of Spades.
The two rappers have shown admiration for each other’s work for the past two years. In 2019 during the The Rap Pack podcast, DaBaby even called NBA YoungBoy one of his favorite rappers. “I know he don’t get the credit he deserves for his music because of the stigma that’s around him. I just listened to his last project and he’s like crazy talented” the DaBaby said.
Baby shared what he feels about YoungBoy with Billboard in 2020.
“He’s dope, you know what I mean. He’s creative and he’s transparent. He allows himself to be vulnerable on tracks. You gotta respect that as an artist, especially someone so young. He’s only 20 years old. Whatever he goes through, he’s willing to put it out there and he’s not ashamed of it. That right there is what makes someone special.
“And he don’t give a fuck. I love that about him. He makes great music, he don’t give a fuck and he’s honest with himself and his fans. He accepts who he is. I appreciate people like that. You find them few and far between. A lot of people act like they perfect and like they don’t go through shit, he’s not one of those people”.
Their new collaboration will arrive on streaming services on March 4th. Meanwhile checkout their new single Neighborhood Superstar below :
