Kim Kardashian is apparently moving on from Kanye West not only in marriage, but also in fashion. She ditched the iconic Balenciaga ensembles he fashioned her in for Prada. Kim has been in Milan for fashion week and has been dressed in three menswear ensembles from Prada’s autumn/winter collection, all designed by Raf Simons.
She’s not just wearing Prada, but she’s also hanging out with brand executives. After seeing the Prada fashion show, Kim was seen leaving a private dinner at Restaurant Torre at Fondazione Prada on Thursday night, where she dined with Miuccia Prada, Anna Wintour, and Raf Simons.
A source close to TMZ said: “Kim has relied on Kanye’s style direction for the last 10 years and is finally feeling confident enough to step out without his help. She is working directly with designers of her choosing and is finally finding her own voice.”
Kanye has dressed Kim for years, but in the last year, he has virtually solely dressed her in Balenciaga, including the full-mask ensemble at the Met Gala. Kim’s switch-up appears to be another declaration that she’s ready to move on. She’ll be able to do so officially next week in court, when a judge will almost certainly reinstate her single status.
If she shows up in court, we’re guessing she’ll be dressed entirely in Prada. Kanye West appears to have discovered a new muse in Kim lookalike Chaney Jones, who has been seen out and about with Ye in Balenciaga across the country. Stay tuned to Thirsty For News for more updates.
