NBA YoungBoy Makes $17 Million A Year From YouTube Alone

YouTube as a content creator platform has allowed people to share their creations and make money off it via monetization. However, for those in music, it is still a tool which yet to be used to its full potential. NBA YoungBoy has defied all the norms and made the most out of the platform.

YouTube monthly reports already show YoungBoy is one of the most popular rappers on the platform, making massive amounts of money from video views. NBA YoungBoy utilizes YouTube by monitoring the platform for his music releases in a huge way.

According to DJ Akademiks, who knows NBA YoungBoy closely, The rapper’s YouTube channel generates 292 million views a month. That is approximately $1.4 million in revenue each month from views alone. And for a year, that is $16.8 million, just close to $17 million.

YoungBoy is signed to Atlantic Records and a good chunk of his YouTube revenue goes to the label. That’s not to say NBA YoungBoy is not getting anything; In fact he makes for than any other artist on the platform with his approach as others only use to to promote their music.

The reason why this approach worked for YoungBoy is because he exclusively releases music on YouTube, filming low-budget music videos around his home that end up trending within a few minutes.
