Rihanna’s “Savage” maternity look is making an appearance at Milan Fashion Week. The 34-year-old pregnant celebrity was the honoree at Gucci’s fall 2022 show on Friday, dressed in a latex and lace crop top that showed off her baby bump.
Rihanna accessorized with a heavy-metal headdress as well as several necklaces, including a huge blinged-out Briony Raymond cross, and matched the belly-baring shirt with low-slung, dragon-printed pants and a poofy lavender coat. The Fenty Beauty founder completed her look with lilac eye makeup, to match with her jacket and a slick of red lipstick.
A$AP Rocky, 33, Rihanna’s boyfriend accompanied her, who dressed up his all-black ensemble with mustard ski gloves and a Gucci luggage with logo. The Bad Gal isn’t giving up her sultry style just because she’s expecting, having announced her pregnancy in a barely-buttoned vintage Chanel puffer that revealed her lavishly bejeweled tummy last month. Rihanna has since dazzled in lace-up shirts, crop tops inspired by the 2000s, and even a $5,000 designer catsuit.
In recent interviews, Rihanna has discussed her unique approach to maternity attire, telling Refinery29, “Right now I’m really into pushing the idea of sexy. When women get pregnant, society tends to make it feel like you hide, hide your sexy, and that you’re not sexy right now [but] you’ll get back there and I don’t believe in that s—t. I’m trying stuff that I might not have even had the confidence to try before I was pregnant. The strappiest, the thinnest, and the more cutouts the better for me.” However, no matter what attire she chooses, she shines out in each and every one.
