Kanye West Fires His Divorce Attorney Before Kim Kardashian Hearing

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s divorce has been one of the most public and acrimonious in history. The divorce suit was still ongoing, and Kanye was played a game in the meanwhile. Just before Kim’s hearing, Kanye West sacked his divorce attorney.

Kanye West once again played musical chairs with his legal team, by dumping his divorce counsel at the eleventh hour, right before a crucial hearing with Kim Kardashian. According to TMZ, Kanye recently fired his lawyer, Chris Melcher.

According to reports, Ye and Melcher’s relationship had deteriorated to the point of no communication. Kanye has shown a desire to settle things with Kim at times, while at other times, he expressed a desire to fight.

Kanye has reportedly recruited Samantha Spector, who previously represented Nicole Young in her divorce from Dr. Dre. In his divorce, Dre was represented by “Disso Queen” Laura Wasser, so it’ll be Spector and Wasser on both sides once more.

In terms of Wednesday’s hearing, it’s likely that the judge would find in Kim’s favor and declare her legally single. According to the court record, Kim will either call or video chat into the hearing. Kanye is said to be “very unlikely” to appear in person.

Kanye has supposedly fired his fourth attorney since Kim filed for divorce in February 2021. Kim said in a rare and public statement last month, requesting Kanye to stop making negative postings about his family.

“Hopefully he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably.”
