The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, will be the actor’s first venture as the Caped Crusader. The film is set to be a completely different take on Batman than shown in previous franchises. It seems Paul Dano admitted something about his role in the upcoming film as well.
Robert Pattinson recently stated that it’s crazy that he’s portraying the role of the Caped Crusader, to begin with, and is certainly enjoying his role. Jeffrey Wright also has high hopes for Pattison’s role.
Earlier last year, fans also lost their minds over Paul Dano’s version of The Riddler due to his influence from the Zodiac killer. A previous trailer also gave a look at Riddler’s plans in the film as well.
While speaking with Good Morning America, Paul Dano talked about his Riddler costume, where he went so far as to wrap his entire body in plastic wrap beneath the costume. Dano admitted he regretted this idea as well.
“The character doesn’t quite have the resources, maybe, to be like a really fancy vigilante. So, and he’s so meticulous about the details, and he’s quite brilliant, and as you’ll see he’s quite in control, and I couldn’t shave all the hair off my body, because I think part of this person’s job is they also have to probably walk around in the world, right? The way that Batman has Bruce Wayne, and has to be able to go out there, the Riddler has his Edward Nashton.
So I thought, well I’ll wrap myself in some cling film and see if that will cover up any DNA evidence, and I quickly learned that was a slightly regrettable choice. My head was throbbing and the sweat couldn’t escape from my body, but then we learned to work with it and I think it’s got a nice effect.”
Robert Pattinson also recently warned fans that the upcoming Batman film will be very depressing. The film will release on March 4 this year and it remains to be seen whether it will be a huge success or not.
