Big Latto rose to prominence as a rapper. She made her first appearance on the reality television series The Rap Game in 2016, where she won the first season. However, Latto has recently proven that she is not someone to be played with as she silences her body-shaming trolls.
Latto took the issue by her own hands by uploading a series of thirst traps showcasing off her luscious shape and taking aim at the body-shaming naysayers when the internet buzz about her curves erupted. “What y’all dizzy bitches not gone do is play with my SHAPE,” she wrote in the first narrative, displaying herself behind in the mirror. “Don’t ever play on my top insecure ass bitches get a rise out of tryna body shame.”
The Atlanta-raised rapper went on to say that the criticism can get her really pissed at times, but she has to remind herself who she is in the game. “& before y’all start yes I am very bothered IDGAF lol cause who y’all playing with,” she wrote. “Yeah, last video don’t ever play [with] cause when I post y’all ugly ass insecure ass internet trolls & see what the ppl gotta say about y’all u gone be crying & deleting that Instagram acct!”
On one hand, there’s a lot of animosity for Latto, but on the other, there’s a lot of affection. This week, her single “Big Energy” soared to No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a new high for her.
Big Latto is slated to release her anticipated sophomore album later in the year, so 2022 is shaping up to be a momentous year for her. However, her “Wheelie” tune, which has already gone viral on TikTok with just a sample, is expected to be the next to hit streaming sites.
