Usher is on track to have a fantastic year, both personally as well as professionally. First, the Atlanta-raised singer will begin his second Las Vegas residency in July and then a sold-out, 20-show run at Caesars Palace in 2021. However, Usher has recently confirmed that he will be releasing new music ahead of his impending residency,
Usher has announced that new songs will be released ahead of his upcoming residency, which will add to the fresh experience. Usher’s most recent studio album, A was released in 2018, and he confessed that COVID influenced the direction of his upcoming, unannounced 11th studio album.
He remarked:
“My plan is to get back to servicing music the way that we did before,”
“In COVID, while we have been in quarantine, my ideas changed. I actually learned new things,” explained the ‘Yeah!’ singer. “I was able to really be reflective and find out what things matter and really have some true, honest, deep conversations with people and myself, to take some ownership of some of where my life has gone and some of the things that I’ve come through. It is honest. So, yeah, I’m going to release an album this year, hopefully, but now it’s just a matter of the timing, and what the name of the album is and all of that.”
Tickets are on sale now for all 23 performances of Usher – The Vegas Residency, which will begin on July 17, 2022 at Dolby Live inside the Park MGM.
