Teen Mom Chelsea Houska was living her best life without a care in the world until one bad event. Chelsea and her husband Cole were sued by consulting company Envy for $3million. The lawsuit said the couple are allegedly withholding money made from social media promotions.
The parents of four, who met on the successful MTV documentary series in 2014 and married in 2016 have made quite a successful career. The two are slated to star in a new HGTV series titled Farmhouse Fabulous. Now, Chelsea and Cole are finding ways to stay out of legal trouble.
Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer have agreed to hash out her $3 million lawsuit in settlement talks instead of trial. This came after the couple scored the HGTV show. The couple previously responded to the lawsuit by filing a counterclaim in May 2020.
In their counterclaim the couple are alleging Envy actually withheld over $150,000 from them. The parties have agreed to resolve the lawsuit in mediation. In court papers obtained by The Sun, the couple’s lawyer emailed the judge on the case: “the parties have agreed to pursue private mediation in an attempt to resolve the case.”
The attorney asked for all deadlines to be postponed for 60 days as settlement talks are underway. It seems like things are finally going well again for Chelsea. Her new show is set to debut in 2023. It will follow the couple as they help families renovate their homes.
