Colin Farrell Says The Penguin Role Was Absolute Liberation As An Actor

Robert Pattinson has made a name for himself starring in films such as the Twilight series and many more. He truly displayed his acting skills in The Lighthouse back in 2019. It seems his co-star Colin Farrell is happy portraying The Penguin as well.

Pattinson will be joined by Colin Farrell, who will be portraying the role of The Penguin in the upcoming film. The modern achievements of The Batman’s makeup team are on full display with Farrell’s look as the Penguin.

It was previously revealed that Colin Farrell once walked into a Starbucks while in his Penguin costume so that he could do a test drive for the upcoming DC film.

While speaking to Hot Ones, Colin Farrell talked about his role in The Batman. Farrell admitted that wearing the prosthetics was “absolute liberation” as an actor.

“For me, it was absolute liberation. I thought that it would be very limiting. I really did, I thought I’d be just oppressed by this – and it was totally the opposite. When the piece moves as well as the piece that was designed for the Penguin moved, my eyebrows moved to my cheeks and my smile, it was f****** insane. I didn’t have any fear that Colin could be seen through.”

Colin Farrell’s makeup even ended up terrifying his son as well. Robert Pattinson also recently warned fans that the upcoming Batman film will be very depressing. The film will release on March 4 this year and it remains to be seen whether it will be a huge success or not.
