Lindsey Graham is saying the quiet part out loud. The controversial Senator made a bold call on a recent Fox News appearance. Graham has invited criticism from both sides of the political aisle with his latest take.
In the Thursday appearance, Graham directly called for Russians to assassinate President Vladimir Putin. The comment came in the wake of Putin’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. The Senator did not mince his words.
“The only way this ends is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would be doing your country and the world a great service.
Is there a Brutus in Russia? Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military?”
Lindsey Graham then doubled down on the remark with a tweet. It doesn’t seem like he has any regret for what he said. Graham invited Russians to step up to the plate and kill their president.
Liberal Senator Ilhan Omar said Graham should cool it. Texas Senator Ted Cruz said it was a terrible idea. Lindsey Graham believes Russians should be taking control of their destiny without considering the cost to the rest of the world.
