Ever since YoungBoy’s dropped “I Hate YoungBoy,” track where he took shots at several rappers in the industry, fans have been waiting for the aimed rappers to respond. Most recently Gucci Mane has retaliated and fans are loving it.
A short while ago, Boosie Badazz addressed the diss aimed at him and now other are jumping on it too. YoungBoy raps on his diss line aimed at Gucci Mane, “Used to f*ck with Gucci ’til I seen he like them p***y n***as (B*tch).”
To which Gucci has returned fire by dropping a new song called “Publicity Stunt.” “He tryna pull a publicity stunt/These rappers be p***y, they bleed once a month/Don’t speak on my name, don’t get put in a blunt/You can diss all you want, still won’t get a response,” Gucci rapped.
Gucci continued, “Stop beatin’ ’round the bush and just get to the point/You wanna be me, I know what you want/But you ain’t gotta pull no publicity stunt.” Gucci’s response has sent Twitter and those around hip hop into frenzy hence leading to Gucci trending on the social media platform.
Fans are calling out YoungBoy for not knowing better and going after established names like Gucci. Some praised how calmly Gucci responded to the diss track yet making a point of who’s better between the two. One twitter user noted, “If not for what the industry has become, who’s young YoungBoy to disrespect a Legend like Gucci Mane if we are to keep it!”
Gucci also asked YB if he’s his fan or his enemy, calling back to the rapper’s famous lyrics, “I feel like I’m Gucci Mane in 2006.” The diss track has received mixed reactions from fans.
