Cardi B Used To Call Charlie XCX ‘Charli STD’

Cardi B gave Charli XCX a hilarious nickname, but the name she went with might not be a winner for everyone. If anything, this proves that Charli has quite a sense of humor.

Charlie stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on March 4 where she talked about how Cardi B accidentally once gave her a hilarious nickname: Charlie STD.

“Basically what happened was, we did a song together with Rita Ora and Bebe Rexha,” Charlie said in reference to the 2018 track “Girls.”

She added, “It was one of those scenarios where we never actually met when we made the song. We shot the music video separately and we were sending verses and whatever.” 

“And then she tweets the song and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, Cardi B tweeted my name, this is huge!’” she exclaimed, before adding: “Then I checked the tag, and instead of Charli XCX [she tagged] ‘Charli STD.’”

Jimmy joked, “Close enough!” Charlie then shared that Cardi had tagged the wrong person “not once, but twice.”

“You know, I felt honored actually,” the Boom Clap singer said. “If anyone is gonna make this kind of online error, it’s got to be Cardi because it’s iconic. And I’m almost happy it happened. She can call me ‘Charli STD’ whenever she wants.”

So it’s quite evident that Charlie hasn’t taken Cardi’s mistake to her heart and things are cool between them!
