Kourtney Kardashian has spent a large portion of her adult life being followed by television cameras. Keeping Up With the Kardashians became a cultural phenomenon. Viewers were fascinated by the dysfunction and drama of a family of enormous wealth and privilege.
Kourtney Kardashian often looked bad on the show. With cameras in your face for a reality show that you agreed to be on, one would think Kourtney would know when to be on her best behavior. Instead, Kardashian took a different approach and allowed even her flaws to be portrayed.
Now Kourtney Kardashian is lashing out against the editors of the show. It was them who made her look bad, she believes. In a recent interview with Bustle, Kourtney laid the hammer down against what she believed was biased editing.
“I would fight with my sisters. There was, like, just a lot going on. And even for me personally, I wasn’t in the happiest place. I felt like I was being almost a character.
‘This is Kourtney, and she’s in a bad mood, so even though she was laughing really at lunch, we’re going to cut out the laughing and let’s only use the annoying comment that she said.’”
Interestingly, the star of a reality show seems to have no grasp on how reality shows work. The idea is to tell compelling stories. Nobody would have watched if it was just a show about rich people being happy.
