Whether it’s sports betting or online gambling, Drake has been known to place a large wager always. However, recently, Jorge Masvidal has expressed his support for Drake after he lost money betting on him.
‘Gamebred’ and Colby Covington faced off in the main event of UFC 272 last Saturday. Because of their previous friendship, the fight had a lot of bitterness going into it. On fight night, however, the main act got a new twist in the story. On the event night, it was revealed that Grammy-winning rapper Drake had wagered on the main event.
The artist allegedly bet $275k (in bitcoin) on Jorge Masvidal winning, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Colby Covington, on the other hand, dominated the fight. Masvidal had his moments, including a fourth-round knockdown, but he was completely outwrestled. At the end of 25 minutes, ‘Chaos’ won by a wide unanimous decision.
During the post-fight press conference, ‘Chaos’ decided to take some shots at the rapper. He advised him to stop betting on sports and return to rapping instead.
“Let’s talk about all the money Drake lost tonight. He needs to go back to selling those shty albums to get back the money. He should have gone to America’s Pick of the Week by MyBookie. I tried to give the people the pick of the week. I am America’s champ and I was America’s pick of the week. Drake, you suck at sports betting. Go back to your shty little albums and rapping.”
Jorge Masvidal has now taken to social media to express his support for the rapper. ‘Gamebred’ kept his message on Twitter simple, telling the rapper that dinner is on him the next time the two meet in Miami.
However, Drake, who has a reported net worth of more than $150 million, is unlikely to be concerned about the six-figure loss. The 6 God most likely returned to the Stake online casino, where he is known to take part in the virtual roulette room. Drake’s DeepPockets6 Stake account had reportedly wagered over a billion dollars since joining the website in December.
