“The Osbournes” followed Ozzy Osbourne, his wife Sharon, and their children Kelly and Jack as cameras documented their eccentric family antics on a regular basis. However, Kelly and Sharon Osbourne have recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of their legendary reality show.
“It was 20 years ago today that #TheOsbournes first aired on @mtv f — I’m old!!! where does the time go?” Kelly said on social media on Saturday, with photos from the program. Sharon shared a clip from an early episode of the show, reflecting her daughter’s thoughts. Alongside the video, the former “The Talk” co-host said, “20 years ago today…we welcomed your family into our home, thank you all for being the perfect house guests.”
On March 5, 2002, “The Osbournes” premiered on MTV and ran until March 2005. Aimee, the couple’s 38-year-old daughter, also declined to participate in the reality show. At the time of its release, the show was one of the most popular on the adolescent network. The love story of Sharon and Ozzy will be made into a biopic, which will be released by Sony Pictures.
“Our relationship at times was often wild, insane and dangerous but it was our undying love that kept us together,” Sharon said in an October statement. “We’re thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures and Polygram to bring our story to the screen.” The film is being produced by Jack and Aimee through their business Osbourne Media, and numerous songs from Ozzy’s rock band will be included prominently. After dating for three years, Ozzy and Sharon married in 1982.
However, after residing in the United States for two decades, the couple is relocating to the United Kingdom. According to the Mirror, Sharon and Ozzy’s huge relocation was prompted by increased taxes in California. They’ll be relocating to Welders House in Buckinghamshire.
