Taylor Swift was one of the many moviegoers who contributed to The Batman’s massive opening weekend. The Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift gave her seal of approval to the newly released movie The Batman. The singer showered Zoe Kravitz with some high praise.
Sunday on her Instagram story Taylor raved over Zoë Kravitz’s performance as Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman. “@zoeisabellakravitz is the Catwoman of my dreams” she wrote with an in-theater snap of Kravitz as Catwoman. She also tagged Kravitz in her post while calling The Batman movie itself phenomenal.
The pair has been friends for several years, with Kravitz joining Swift, Cara Delevingne, Dakota Johnson and more at New York City’s The Fat Radish restaurant in 2016. She and Kravitz shared a London COVID bubble in 2020 while the actress filmed alongside Robert Pattinson as the titular Batman. Swift even assisted her pal with a socially distanced photoshoot for The New York Times Magazine’s Great Performers issue at the time.
Swift is far from the first to praise The Batman. The movie is sitting on a strong 85% Fresh rating from 364 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. The film has also easily become the biggest film of the year at the box office with a huge opening weekend of $128.5 million.
The Batman has already surpassed the only other $100 million movie of the year. Sony’s Uncharted, which has earned $100.2 million from three weeks in theaters. The film also stars Jeffrey Wright as Lt. James Gordon, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Paul Dano as The Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone.
The Batman is out now exclusively in theaters and premieres April 19 on HBO Max.
