You never know what is really going on behind your favorite Twitter account. It’s always a good idea to make sure something is legit before replying and Polo G just realized that.

Polo G has been getting some laughs after the rapper responded to a parody of the RapTV Twitter account. The account has been trolling Polo a lot with fake stories lately. One recent post claimed Polo may have bought a haunted lamp.

It was several fake quotes that finally got Polo to buy the act. This post also included a fake quote of something Polo G never said, “I mean I would take sketchers over any other shoe out there. I think Jordans are overated tbh. Sketchers just fit more comfortably and are cheaper. Plus they might get me sum hoes. Everyone nowadays is rocking a pair of Jordans so I choose to stand out of the crowd.”

The account a made-up quote attributed to Polo G said he thought Skechers were better than Jordans. Polo didn’t get mad, but he did respond

“I ain’t gone lie I don’t remember sayin this sh*t”

The owner of the fake RapTV account went on to encourage Polo to include his pretend thoughts on Skechers in a song. They replied to Polo G’s response by saying, “Polo Capalot reportedly lies about liking Skechers over Jordans because of the backlash from the media.”

The account works like a Twitter version of The Onion, posting fake headlines throughout the day. Most of them are so ridiculous that nobody would believe them.

It is possible that Polo G was just playing along. Either way, he didn’t completely embarrass himself. Polo wasn’t lying when he said he didn’t remember saying it.

Then again, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that Polo G just simply fell for the parody. Polo did recently paid $75,000 to see the Los Angeles Lakers play. He has clearly done dumb things in the past.
