Pete Davidson Trying Really Hard To Continue On SNL After Current Season

SNL cast member, actor and stand-up talent Pete Davidson is one of the most popular celebrities in Hollywood right right. He is known to not mince words when it comes to expressing his opinion regarding anything as well. It seems he really wants to stay on SNL from the looks of it.

There is absolutely no doubt that Pete Davidson is one of the most integral members of the long-running show. Davidson is also arguably the most successful performer outside of Saturday Night Live. Last year, he hinted at a departure from the show.

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson officially became a couple last year and they themselves confirmed the relationship via PDA photos. This certainly brought a lot of joy to Kardashian’s family, including ‘SNL’ members. A lot has happened since the two got together.

According to Hollywood Life, Pete Davidson is trying very hard to stay on Saturday Night Live and not upset Lorne Michaels as he is becoming a bigger star now.

“Pete is bracing for life after SNL but as much as his star is rising, he doesn’t want to disappoint Lorne and leave. He might have to leave just because he has so much other work on his plate, but he is trying to make it all work out and is trying to do it all because he feels like Lorne is a big father figure for him and he wants to do what is right for him, the show and Lorne all together.

Pete knows he has till at least August to see if he wants to return to SNL but as of right this second it is about 60% staying and 40% leaving.”

Outside of SNL, Pete Davidson’s movie career is certainly flourishing as he appeared in 2021’s The Suicide Squad and on top of that, he’s currently filming/recording the voice of Marmaduke for the animated adaptation of the classic comic strip.

He is also set to act in American Sole, The Things They Carried (adapted from Tim O’Brien’s book), and the role of Joey Ramone in I Slept With Joey Ramone. We will have to see if Davidson does return to SNL for at least one more season as fans would love to see him back.
