The Batman was expected to be a major hit when it dropped and to the surprise of no one, it did exactly that. The film garnered tons of praise from fans and critics alike, making it one of the best-rated superhero films of all time already.

It also had a huge box office opening, as it made $128.5 million in its debut. The film also featured Nirvana’s classic song Something In The Way, as it opened with the film as Robert Pattinson gave his monologue.

According to Chart Data, The Batman has helped the Something In The Way track from Nirvana’s Nevermind album reach a new landmark, as the song surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.
