Traci Braxton was a singer, reality television/radio personality. She tragically passed away on March 11, 2022. Traci left us too soon as she was only 50-years-old. Traci Braxton died after battling esophageal cancer and now many are mourning the loss, including her famous sister, Toni Braxton.
Traci Braxton was privately battling cancer for a year. The Sinners Wanted actress was reportedly surrounded by her sisters and mom when she passed away.
Toni, who is one of the best-selling female R&B artists in history, paid tribute to her sister. Toni took to Instagram to share her grief. She wrote, “It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci. Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly.”
In 2018, Traci, along with Toni, Tawanda, and Trina, recorded “Broken Things.” Traci recorded her own song “Last Call” in 2014, that rose to #16 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart. In August 2018, Traci Braxton released the song “Lifeline” as the official lead single from her second album, On Earth.
Toni went into great detail as she described the last few moments with her sister. “Traci passed this morning as the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake. We ask that you respect our privacy as we plan to send her home with love, celebrating her life. We are family forever.” The R&B singer wrote in behalf of her entire family, “Love, The Braxton Family”
RIP Tracy Braxton. She is gone, but never forgotten.
