2016’s Doctor Strange made many fans familiar with Benedict Cumberbatch’s character of the same name. Strange has been featured in several films since then, including Avengers Infinity War and Endgame, where he played a significant role. He also had a huge role to play in Spider-Man: No Way Home and it seems that is just the beginning.
Following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness will deal with the ramifications of everything that took place in No Way Home. The film will also include non-MCU characters on top of that.
While speaking with Empire, Benedict Cumberbatch talked about the upcoming Multiverse Of Madness film. According to Cumberbatch, Multiverse of Madness is a “big, big movie” and will be “an absolute riot.” He also added that it will be on the same level as Spider-Man: No Way Home.
“It’s a big, big movie. It’s going to be an absolute riot. And if it brings off the level of ambition it’s got, we’re going to have a success on the level of Spidey. There you go, I’ll put my flag in the sand.”
Spider-Man: No Way Home shattered numerous box office records and has gone on to become one of the biggest successes in film history, and not only just the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness is set to release on May 6th of this year. With a lot of fan expectations to live up to, it remains to be seen how good the film will turn out to be.
